Cat is a writer for a local newspaper. She has aspirations of being a journalist in New York. Cat is trying to follow in her journalist father’s footsteps. She is unaware how good her weekly column about people and relationships really is. Her first attempt at hard-hitting news has backfired on her and she does not know how to make it up to her sexy neighbor.
Sam is a serious scientist studying sexual stimulation and responses. He is a serious scientist who becomes a bit of a playboy between research studies. His new drug will be revolutionary if he is ever allowed to perfect it. The protestors are keeping him from the final stage of his research.
Cat and Sam live in the same condo complex and have been attracted to each other since the beginning, but Cat’s article on Sam’s research has brought out a mass of protestors. Cat does not know how to make it up to him except by helping him with his research.
I really enjoyed this story and its quirky characters. Most of the story involves Sam’s research and here the author writes some exceptionally sizzling love scenes. The development of Cat and Sam’s relationship is also involving and Cat fears that she will give up everything she loves for the man she loves. Sam is afraid Cat will leave him for something bigger and better. Rio the chimp is an uncommon character who seems to have a bit more sense than some of the humans. I had fun reading about Sam’s feelings for the six men who were in and out of Cat’s apartment all the time. This fast moving romance is a really good read.
