TERESA NOELLE ROBERTS
Rating: 4 Cups
Elizabeth McGrill has left her sunny warm home in Atlanta, for windy cold Block Island in Rhode Island. The island was famous for pirates in the sixteenth century and she is hoping to get some inspiration for the pirate romance she is penning. Instead, Elizabeth gets a real nice look at her hot next-door neighbor, who happens to resemble the pirate in her novel.
Lucius Stone is the local handyman for the only hotel. When he spots the sexy tourist staying in the cabin next to his, Lucius goes over to introduce himself.
Elizabeth and Lucius find themselves stumbling toward a steamy affair. When she mentions she is writing about pirates, he throws a fit and walks away. It seems there may be no sweaty sex for these two after all.
Ms. Roberts knows her history. Elizabeth, portrayed as an author, uses her sense of humor to comment about a lack of knowledge in certain books. She is a strong, independent woman who finds her attraction with her neighbor undeniable. Lucius is equally attracted, but he has some reserves. The conflict within this story is a little small, but overall quite funny. Pirate's Booty is a great, fun book to curl up with if you are looking for a little light reading. Nice read!
