to honor Latino heritage and show the world the thoughts behind this diverse and rich
culture.
Only the Best highlights quotes and proverbs from well-known Latinos in categories
such as life, love, respect, honor, men and women and being true to one's self. Some of
the noted literary figures, politicians, social activists and artists quoted are Gloria
Estefan, Cesar Chavez, Pablo Picasso and Emiliano Zapata.
I gave this book four cups because I was personally touched by some of the quotes.
Only the Best is not just for those of Latino heritage because the quotes and proverbs
are inspiring to all. My favorite quote is “If you respect others, there will be peace”
spoken by Benito Juarez. To me, this quote really hits home with what is going on in the
world today. This is a compelling read and I highly recommend it.
