Olivia ‘Liv’ Leigh is owner of Pamper Me Salon and Day Spa. She believes her fiancé, Geoff, is cheating, and is determined to catch him in the act, never expecting to discover her own identity.
Mick Peck, owner of Doug’s Auto Import Shop, has the privilege of meeting Liv when he accidentally whacks her head with a car door. After meeting her, life suddenly changes.
Liv is engaged to marry Geoff, a man her father adores, but after seeing him with another woman, Liv does some spying. Then Mike, a grease monkey, accidentally hits her in the head with a car door, and things suddenly look differently. Liv cannot believe she accepts Mike’s invitation to his apartment to make sure her head is all right. His apartment is a far cry from what her life is used to. When she learns the woman whom she believes Geoff is seeing is right next door, she prepares her plan. What Liv never expected was learning the real woman that lives inside her, the woman who wants so desperately to break from her shell and do what she desires. But in the end, will she choose Geoff or Mike, as the man who has claimed her heart?
I absolutely loved this story. I was so drawn into Liv’s life as she sought to find out more about Geoff while discovering what Mike had to offer. Liv is a refreshing character and I adored the way she learns how to break through barriers and discover life’s blessings that can be found if one just does a little investigating of their own. Geoff and Mike both offer some interesting excitement in One Love for Liv. Marianne Arkins pens a fascinating page-turner. I found this read most satisfying and highly recommend it.
