Noelle Bridges is trying her hardest to be a good witch. She studies and studies, but just does not seem to have the talent for it. Her cousin Ella constantly torments her with practical jokes, but sending her to Earth where she finds herself in bed naked with a deceased old man, is just too much.

When Jacob Sanders finds a beautiful woman in his Uncle Ed’s bed, he is flabbergasted. When he realizes Uncle Ed is dead, he is furious and calls the police. He is still very attracted to the lunatic may be murderess, who insists she is a witch.

When a student witch is sent to the bedroom of a deceased man as a joke, she has to find her way back home. Her skills are really not up to the task, and she is not entirely sure she really wants to go home anyway.

This is a funny and entertaining story of a witch and a mortal falling in love. The two main characters are very likable and vivid. The supporting characters are really funny from the tippling oldest Aunt Emmie to the fainting Aunt Jasmine. Ella is a really great bad witch, though the reader will wonder why she is jealous of her rather inept cousin. The love story flows like an old romantic comedy movie and is just as entertaining.
