Rue Kessler is a recovering alcoholic and a new Christian. He belongs to a group called My Brother's Keeper that helps ex – substance abusers who are Christians find jobs. So he jumps at the chance to renovate the cabins at the camp. When he meets Ivy and her son Montana, he immediately takes a liking to both of them. Only as he gets involved with her and Montana more deeply, he does not realize the shock that the Lord has in store for them all.

Ivy does her best to overcome the hardships she faces and rebuild the relationships that she damaged with her drug use and by keeping her secret about the murder. She knows she has a tough road ahead of her and she should not even think about getting involved with someone. But Rue is different and he is great with Montana. Is it possible that the Lord has led them to each other?

A wonderfully uplifting story. Ms. Herman shows the other side of recovering substance and drug users that is rarely seen. The characters of Rue and Ivy have a tough road ahead of them but they have their faith to see them through. I felt for each of them as I have family members in similar situations. Ms. Herman's story should give hope to those family members or former addicts that there is a way to make it back from the dark side. Just put your faith and trust in God and he will lead you on the right path.
