NATURE OF THE B.E.A.S.T.
Rating: 4 Cups
Kiera Covington is the daughter of a powerful U.S. Senator. They are not close due to the abuse he inflicted on Kiera since the death of her mother. She is not surprised that the man who kidnapped her hates him also. He looks very familiar.
Wade McAllister is one of the escaped prisoners from the B.E.A.S.T. compound. Like his friends he is having flashes of memory, but nothing solid. He still hates what they turned him into and is willing to sacrifice himself to take Covington down.
The shifters are now after the powerful senator Clive Covington who founded B.E.A.S.T. Wade feels that he has nothing left to lose and no one to live for, so he slips away to execute his own daring plan to get even with the founder of B.E.A.S.T. He and Kiera have been victimized by the Senator who is over the edge into madness. An element of danger is added to their pursuit by shifter named Brett. Brett turned his back on the other shifters for the promise of freedom and only realizes late in the game just how much he has lost.
Wade and Kiera are very compelling characters. Their attraction is immediate and overwhelming. Brett is also an interesting and sympathetic character. Wade has a surprising identity. His struggle to get control of it and the fortune that comes along with it adds to the drama and increases the suspense to the novel. We even cannot be sure at the end of the book that Wade is totally successful. The combination of an exciting plot full of romance and suspense with well written characters makes this tale a story definitely worth read again.
