Maggie Tyler is a successful author. A beautiful woman, she is very shy and the person threatening her terrifies her.
Stephen O’Leary is an FBI agent who previously protected a very influential senator. The senator’s legacy enables him to provide the security Maggie needs.
Author Maggie Tyler is being threatened by an unknown person. His demands are becoming more frightening and bizarre, and Agent O’Leary is assigned to keep her safe in his remote cabin. The danger follows her even there.
Other than the story being told in the first person, I enjoyed it. The two main characters are charismatic and have great chemistry. I like how the relationship grows between the two of them and the love scenes are well written. The setting is very dramatic and lends itself well to the story. The author describes the setting well enough for the reader to picture it. The stalker just kind of sneaks up on the reader as well as Maggie and Stephen, and this leads to a very exciting and satisfying conclusion. This quick read is very enjoyable.
