Briana Grant is a woman who has a lot of trust issues, especially when it comes to men. Being a single, divorced woman, she struggles daily to make ends meet and keep her children happy and healthy. Getting a fresh start in Big Sky, Montana seems to be the best news she has had since her husband abandoned her and the kids in front of the local Wal-Mart.
Twelve years ago, Logan Creed made a huge mistake with his two younger brothers that cost him the only family he had. Known as a troublemaker and all-around bad boy, he comes back with a law degree under his belt and a few million in his pocket. He is ready to settle down, start farming again, and find himself a good woman who wants to raise some kids.
When Briana first sees Logan, she is ready to turn-tail and run; his alpha male persona and bad boy reputation precede him, and she is not ready for another man to trample on her tender heart. Logan has heard all about the beautiful mother’s experience with her ex-husband, and he is ready to prove that he is not the same as her ex, nor is he the same as he was years ago. Being neighbors, Logan and Briana run into each other quite a bit which creates fireworks between them, heating a passion that has been building until it is ready to erupt. As their relationship develops into more than lust, Briana’s ex-husband comes into town and a new threat enters the picture, someone who is out to get both Briana and her two kids.
Montana Creeds: Logan is a stunning novel that has so much going for it, I was enthralled from the first page and when it ended, I wanted to cry! Once again Ms. Miller has written a superb book that pits a strong alpha male against a woman who has survived hardship and come out on top. The way Briana was depicted when she was protecting her sons was so realistic and beautiful, I was right there cheering her on. How Logan struggled with his father’s death from the past, the issues he had growing up, and how his family was torn asunder were so bittersweet, I was not sure if I should laugh or cry. An emotional story, this tale will have you guessing who the threat is until the end, and once you read the last page, I can guarantee you will be eagerly and impatiently awaiting the next book in this series!
