MELTING THE ICE QUEEN
Contemporary Erotic Romance
Rating: 3 Cups
Christabel has built so many walls around herself since her fiancé’s fatal car accident, that most who know her have dubbed her the “Ice Queen”. She is entirely focused on her career, but her co-worker David might just break through the ice.
David is still recovering from a brutal divorce a few years ago and has even avoided his weekend cabin, until now. He sees a beautiful woman skating on a nearby pond and knows that she is meant for him.
During a cold winter, two battered souls find each other, and after struggles and missteps, help each other heal and find real love.
This is a really lovely story. Both characters have been beaten up by life and love, and have just about lost hope of finding happiness, until they meet each other. Christabel is reluctant to lose her heart again, but David is very persistent. He is my favorite character and I was rooting for him throughout the story. I had a little bit of a hard time understanding Christabel, but it all became clear in the end.
