Gay / BDSM
Rating: 4 Cups
Dylan is starting work on his doctorate when he gets an invitation to the hottest gay BDSM club in the area. There Dylan sees Tomas, and all other men disappear for him, until he realizes his attraction to his new advisor, Jack.
Tomas is fascinated by Dylan and knows he must possess him. Unfortunately, Tomas has a secret that may end any hope of a relationship with Dylan.
Jack enjoys his friendship with Dylan, but longs to tell him the truth.
As the men spend time together, they realize how much they care for each other, and hope their secrets will not end such a great affair.
Masked Submission is a good version of the “mystery” boyfriend versus the best friend plotline. The sexual tension is kept high throughout the book and readers will love watching the growth of every character. Dylan has a strong sense of self, but enjoys submitting to his lover, even if he is nervous about the situation. Tomas is a great Dom but his doubts about how to handle Dylan make him sympathetic to readers. Jack works hard to help his protégé and truly cares about him. These characteristics and how the men interact make this a fascinating book, and the sex is smoking hot. Background characters are supportive of the story and do not intrude into the storyline. The dialogue is perfect and with all elements of the book working together. Masked Submission becomes a book that is easy to recommend.
