Erin Markov, the daughter of Syren Markov, wakes from a coma with no memory of anything, not even her name. One important thing she must remember, she has an allergic reaction to sunlight.
Felix, the thirteenth Earl of Sherbourne, has shirked responsibility most of his life. It would be nice to have a wife and kids, but his intended bride decided to shack up with his no-good half-brother, Clive.
Felix is an artist-sculptor who has lost his family home and wants it back. Since coming out of a coma, Erin is keeping a low profile while she recovers. She remembers nothing about herself and is told she has a genetic problem with a dislike to sunlight. When her father buys her Pevenhurst Castle, Felix knows for certain his home has a new owner. He never anticipated running into someone has enigmatic as Erin. Instantly, they are consumed by sizzling passion. No one knows why their attraction is so potent, but whatever the reason; he just may die a happy man. When Erin’s memory returns, can she confess the truth to Felix?
All I can say is, get the ice buckets handy, make sure the fire extinguishers are working and brace yourselves for a scorching read loaded in passionate action. I do not think either Felix or Erin knew what hit them once their eyes met, but Barbara Elsborg grabs hold of her characters and sends them on an adventure that neither player will forget. I found Lightning in a Bottle to be a fast-flowing read that keeps the tempo moving at a good pace. Erin is a firecracker as she tries to come to terms with her true identity. I love how she and Felix connect and work through any obstacles that cross their paths in this blistering tale.
