Sarah Jamison has just lost everything near and dear to her heart.  In a terrible fire, she
has lost both her father and her mother, as well as her younger sister.  Heartbroken and
ready for a change, she accepts a job as a teacher out west in Paradise, Texas.

Derek Comstock goes to Dallas to pick up the new teacher and finds her rather
dismayed to ride alone with him to Paradise.  She was under the impression that a
stagecoach would take her all the way to her new home.  Months of sorrow have taken
their toll on this pretty, young woman.

On the way to Paradise, she turns to the strong Derek for comfort and learns that he is
also recovering from the loss of a close family member.  They find themselves soothing
each other's pain and sharing a mutual attraction.

Once Sarah arrives in Paradise, she finds the young men are very happy the
town now has a new, good-looking, single, female teacher.  She quickly gains two new
suitors--Ben Horton, the preacher's son, and a rough outlaw by the name of Jackson
Quinn.  Derek decides to court Sarah, too, and Ben bows out.   However, Jackson is not
so considerate and soon becomes threatening when he doesn't get what he wants,
namely, Sarah.  He brings danger into the lives of the new couple and Derek's eight
year old son, John.

This Christian Romance breaks all the rules.  The love scenes are tastefully done and
do nothing to take away from the heart-pounding excitement of the story.  This was an
absolutely wonderful read, complete with sex, love and violence...all in a Christian
setting.
