| LAST DANCE OF THE LOCHKRAY BRIAN GOODWIN ISBN#1-55316-137-8 July 2005 LTD Books www.ltdbooks.com E-Book $5.00 314 Pages Horror/ Intrigue and Mainstream Rating: For five hundred years the Lochkray have existed, slinking through the night, their nocturnal wanderings punctuated by occasional feedings. Waiting for the day of their ultimate triumph over all humanity. Although they know not where the sacred place is to be found, they know a human will lead them to their cathedral of renewal. For now they enjoy the hunt, sliding through human minds, playing with their memories. Dr. John Hadden, PhD of Archaeology, believes the wilds of northern Canada hold the keys to the greatest archaeological site found in modern history. When he hikes into the Canadian bush and disappears, his assistants Allen Therrien and Elisha King are sent into the wilds with Tyance Sachaney and Rob Madoc to find him. What they encounter deep in the Canadian forest will test their faith, perception, and strength, the very attributes the Lochkray feed off of. When they meet a man on sojourn from an eastern European monastery, his stories of the Cimmerian Knights fill them with dread and disbelief, until they start experiencing things on their own. So begins the expedition of Elisha, Allen, Tyance, Rob, and Vance. Learning to depend on and trust each other is a journey in itself. Figuring out the clues left by the professor will test their resolve. Coming out alive will be their reward. Mr. Brian Goodwin has penned an enthralling story that grabbed me from the first paragraph and would not let me go until I finished it. The storyline is paced in such a way that I was, at times, scared to read another word but at the same time unable to quit. I absolutely loved this book. Katherine L.
