A young woman left alone after her father's death must share her inheritance with a darkly handsome man, whose presence both frightens and attracts her. When he begins to invade her dreams, she knows she may be losing the fight, but she wants more that just attraction, she wants her man to relieve her loneliness too.

Lord Benton Black, Sophie's father's heir, wants her very much. He has admired Sophie for a while, but doesn't realize that he alone has the key to giving her everything she needs.

Sophie will be rendered penniless if she doesn't marry Lord Benton-Black within the month, and he will lose his inheritance as the house and grounds go to the Crown. There is so much more to their desires though, than keeping up their lifestyles.

This is a great story. It does not lack for substance as readers get the love story in only one night with enough back ground to clear up any questions and make Sophie and her Lord's dialogue understandable and appropriate. The love scenes are beautifully written and line up well with a lovingly ravished virgin romance. I truly enjoyed that Sophie was shocked at what her body is feeling and curious about what will happen next. The only problem I find with the book is Sophie's formal addressing of Lord Benton-Black, but this is the only fault I find and it does not in any way diminish my enjoyment of the definite keeper. Congratulations to Ms McFalls for such a great story.
