She works in a retail shop. Her life is ordinary, and she likes it that way. She is quick to freeze everyone out and so far no one has stayed with her long enough to find out what she holds inside. She likes what she sees when she first encounters him.
He is a construction worker and his co-worker’s call him Chief because he is their site boss. He is good natured and kind. He likes her too, but he is the perfect gentleman.
When he enters her store and buys a belt, she is mesmerized by his hands and how he holds the belt. In fact, she is so mesmerized that when he lets it slip what his favorite hang out is, she goes there sans underwear and bra no less. She gets exactly what she wants, a beating with the belt and sex where she actually orgasms. It is not long before she is seeing him on a regular basis, but he is getting too close, beginning to figure her out. Will she be able to freeze him out as she has the others, or will he teach her that there is a thing such as love?
La Ceinture is a strong erotic romance. The emotions, particularly hers, are so well described that you can literally feel her frustration leaping from the pages. He is good at forcing her to face what she really feels rather than letting her freeze up. I liked how Ms. De Lully is able to get into each character’s head and then share that with the reader. The sex is very hot, but this is a book where there are a lot of scenes where the heroine is being spanked with the belt. It is not a book for the faint of heart.
