Monique is a member of the Vicknair family, who are mediums that have dedicated their lives to helping the dead cross over to the other side. She always had her own personal rules; no touching and, above all, do not get personally involved. She has never had a problem with these rules before; then again, she had never met the sexiest undead man, Ryan Chappelle
Ryan Chapelle likes his afterlife just fine, especially his nightlife, when he visits women and fulfills their fantasies. So why would he want Monique to push him over to the other side? Of course, he would not mind haunting her when, not if, he can convince her to break her rules.
Monique Vicknair’s abilities to communicate with the dead are interfering with her sex life. So when she is summoned on her new ‘job’, she is a little frustrated. Ryan does not help at all. He pushes all her buttons in the first five minutes of seeing him. He is a ladies man and a temptation that she could easily succumb to, but she knows she has to help him find true love and go to the other side where he belongs. Why does fate make it so that the man she wants to hold forever is the very one she will have to let go across to the other side?
This story was hot from the get go. Monique was sassy and knew what she wanted, but was continually frustrated by her other duties. I liked how realistically she and her family fought. If all ghosts are as hot as Ryan is, I want to be haunted too. I hope all the members of the Vicknair family get their stories soon. If you like ghostly romance, pick up Kiss and Dwell.
