Julie Calloway’s grandmother has recently passed away and has left her with an inheritance. This inheritance includes an inn located in Key West. Julie travels there to put things in order and make preparations to sell the inn.
Trent Light is part of a family with special abilities. He has been assigned to assist in helping a few ghosts “cross over” who are haunting an inn in Key West. It is taking him a bit longer than he thought as there is one particular ghost, Emily, who is not cooperating.
Shortly after Julie arrives in Key West, a magic performer on the street catches her eye. She is staying with a friend of her grandmother’s across the street from Calloway House, the inn that she has inherited. Julie notices the devastatingly handsome magician coming and going from Calloway House. Immediately they are drawn to one another and together they will work on solving the mystery of the ghost, Emily, and how they can help her cross over. Meanwhile, they just may work on bringing out the steamy passion in one another, if they can come to terms with what they want from each other in the future.
Key West Magic is as hot as a summer in the tropics. The setting is lush and mysterious and the characters are fascinating and original. Even the pet bird, Guinness, is a character himself. Beyond the main storyline of Julie and Trent, the story of Emily and her guardian angel is wonderful. Ciar Cullen has written a delightfully suspenseful, sexy and magical novel. The ending is superb and very satisfying, yet I did not want it to end.
