Rating: 4 Cups
Zora Valent continues to have memories of her family being slaughtered by a pack of wolves. Now, years later, she is still traumatized by the events.
Vaughn is a vampire who visits Zora in her dreams, urging her to return home.
Zora lives in an apathetic state trying to keep from going crazy after seeing her parents attacked by wolves at the age of thirteen. Often a voice vibrates in her dreams requesting her to return to Wolf Creek Pass. It is a man’s voice, one of which she has never heard, but irritates her to no end because his voice constantly interrupts her sleep. Who is this man who continues to plead with her to come home so things can once again turn pleasant for her? With only one thing left to do, she packs a bag and heads to Montana hoping to see if she can finally find peace. When Zora meets Vaughn, she not only learns that his is the voice in her dreams, but he is one sexy vampire. Vaughn is there to help Zora, to comfort and protect her from the wolves. He tries to tell her that she is a rare breed from an ancient tribe. Now she must place her trust in him, if she wishes to finally live an enjoyable life once again.
Keeper of the Night is a most splendid read. The intensity of Zora’s dreams, as well as the sound of the voice, flows consistently, drawing the reader into the story. Vaughn’s sexy charisma leaps across the pages. Their soothing chemistry really made the story a worthwhile read. Ms. McKnight is an excellent storyteller. She weaves a magnificent story that keeps the reader's interest and one that is most satisfying.
