Candice Cain is the new director of the Youth Center and she is having very vivid dreams about her boss's nephew. Even though she wants him, helping his daughter comes first. As she and Davis get closer, she wonders if it is her he really wants, or is he still in love with his deceased wife?
Davis Strong runs the family construction business with his sister. When he first notices signs of trouble with his daughter, he turns to the director for help. But there is a problem... he wants Candy, and more than for her help with his daughter.
Candy is attracted to Davis and he stars in many of her erotic dreams. She always wakes up alone and it drives her mad. When Davis comes to her and asks for help with Angelica, she agrees. Davis fights his attraction to Candy, but it does not work. He gives in after asking her over for dinner. Their first night together is amazing and he knows that he is in danger of losing his heart to her. When they argue one evening he knows what he says to her is wrong, but after realizing that his daughter overheard the argument, he knows she comes first. Will the hateful words he said in anger drive Candy away?
The feelings these two go through are real. Ms. Terry draws the reader in from the beginning and keeps hold of them through the end. I enjoyed this story as the characters faced true conflict. Ms. Terry makes these characters human through love and fear of commitment. The sex is hot and steamy and makes for an exciting read.
