Bonnie Wilcox, the daughter of Mike’s first sergeant in the army, fell in love the first time

pleading on Bonnie’s part , they were married. Being an army brat had not prepared her
for the role of army wife but she adapted quickly.
Bonnie and Mike would weather the storms of life during the Vietnam era and would go
on to raise three daughters. Mike would often look back over his life and give thanks for
the journey thus far. And as always there would be his wife right by his side.
Ms. Linda L. Lattimer has written a great journal of the life of a man from birth to death. It
is a glimpse into the ups and downs of life experienced by ordinary people doing the
best they can, one day at a time. Ms. Lattimer’s words evoke a time not too long past,
where love of country meant every thing and family was foremost in most men’s minds.
The first paragraph snagged me and sent me back in time and would not let me go until
the last page. I enjoyed the journey.
