Rona Shively is a woman who likes to find the solutions to problems. Whether it is genealogy or a missing family member, she just wants to help. She has been in sticky situations before but that does not seem to persuade her to stop. Rona takes the necessary precautions and helps the next client.
Norman Dent is happy with his friendship with Rona. He sells cars very well, mainly to wealthy people. He is honest, which is rare, but he likes to have a good reputation. He is not all that well built, but he takes good care of himself.
Rona is trying her hand at detective work and often finds herself in trouble. She uses contacts she made while spending a short time in jail. But one particular client recommended to her by her friend Norman Dent gives the appearance of a bad situation that really does not stop her. Yet while trying to stay ahead of the bad guys, she needs to find the truth behind the inquiry before it gets her hurt.
Ms. Benston is a fabulous writer who knows how to tell a story. How Rona was able to keep on top of her client’s wishes, as well as avoid the bad guys, blew me away. I also really enjoyed the friendship that Rona and Norman had. You could tell that they really were willing to help each other out and cared about one another. It was a wonderful story full of twists and turns. The surprise at the ending was the best and I look forward to more by this author.
