Diane O'Hara is just drifting through life after the death of her philandering husband. Her parents are trying to force her into another marriage with a man of their choice, as if the first time was not enough. They are even threatening to take her children away from her.

Alexander Heath is heading for a new life in the twenty first century. His cousin's wife Carla is sending the Regency rake to the New York City of the future in her place with an introduction to her sister Diane and her friend Sebastian. He is uncertain, but looking forward to his new life, even more so when he meets Diane.

An upper class woman with many family problems opens her home and her life to a man claiming to be from the 19th century. He also claims to be friends with a sister that she does not remember. The attraction is immediate and strong. This man could make her life better or just further complicate things.

This is an excellent time travel romance. The chemistry between the two main characters is wonderful. The author does a wonderful job describing the reactions a man who has just traveled from 1811 to 2006 would have, his speech patterns, and modern people's reactions to them. Alex is a typical Regency rake, very charming and very alpha. Diane is a woman just starting to take control of her life. It is sad that she does not remember her sister, but the gift she sent Diane was amazing.
