Maya Black was a cop tracking a dangerous vampire when she met her fate. She never wanted to be part of the dead. Now, she goes after an assortment of bad guys, including other vampires.
Adam Brady has heard about Maya and knows she is the only one that can help. The only problem is the danger he puts himself in when he steps into her surroundings.
Adam has been keeping a sharp eye on Maya, watching her every step until he feels the time is right to approach her. Maya knows she is being followed. When she first meets, Adam, she calls him Slick, and wants to know why he is stalking her. Maya insists he leave her alone, but Adam needs her help. Maya has no idea if he is in the category of supernaturals or a well-informed human who knows her identity. There were many supernaturals that knew what she did. She is surprised how relaxed he is in her surroundings. Adam desperately needs help in locating his missing niece and will do anything to get her back. Maya agrees to help, but not without a high price. Adam is certain it will be his blood, but believes she may be the only one to trust.
Oh, wow, every time I pick up a Cynthia Eden book, it gets better and better. Immortal Danger is no exception. Not only is the writing tight, the action fast-paced, never leaving a dull moment, but the story is highly-charged, making the adrenaline race. Maya knows how to take care of anyone who gets in her way. I found the chemistry between Maya and Adam top-notch. They have a strength, when blended together that really stands out. I love the way they connect to each other. The heat they generate together sizzles. Ms. Eden gives her readers an alluring tale mixed with paranormal beings and an in-depth plot, making this a mesmerizing read.
