Mary is the eldest of the Royle triplets. With the death of their father, she is responsible for the finances of all three sisters. They have discovered that they were not foundlings as previously thought but possibly the daughters of the Regent himself. Mary gives no credit to these fancies, but sets her sights on a successful marriage. She has selected Lord Wetherly as her future husband, but his infuriating brother, the Black Duke, continually interferes.
Rogan Wetherly, Duke of Blackstone, is determined to keep fortune hunters away from his susceptible brother Quinn. Mary Royle looks like one to him, no matter how beautiful she is. Of course, Rogan feels it is his duty is to distract the beauty from his more vulnerable brother.
Triplet sisters take London by storm in Regency London. With the sponsorship of the Old Rakes of Marylebone, there is no telling how high the sisters might look for husbands. However, if the story is true about their parentage, a duke might be below them in rank.
I love the Regency period and Ms Caskie has caught it admirably. Mary is a wonderful character, the eldest child charged with taking care of two younger sisters and an elderly aunt. Rogan is a very strong character and much more suited for her than the mild mannered and indecisive Quinn. I love the way Mary and Rogan spar with each other. The Old Rakes and Lady Upperton are very entertaining supporting characters, as are Cherie and the other servants. I look forward to reading more about the Royle sisters.
