Dr. Emily Drake treats patients who are a little unusual. A vampire with a blood phobia, a sex demon looking for meaningful relationships, that type of unusual. Her gift for recognizing and treating the Other, the supernatural, makes her valuable. Her gift has its share of rules though. Never trust a shifter, not one like Colin Gyth.

Powerful, dominating and on the side of the law, Colin Gyth is asked by his boss to bring in Emily Drake on a case. Upon meeting her, his body reacts in a very primal way. Things heat up when her life is put in danger by the Night Butcher, a rogue Other with a desire to kill.

Tension builds between Dr. Drake and Colin as the story progresses. Ultimately, he has never known a woman like her before and cannot get enough of her.

Cynthia Eden has done a marvelous job of crafting a story with all the right elements. I gladly lost sleep over reading this book as it was a real page turner. The sex scenes heated up the pages and made this reviewer yearn for an Alpha like Colin! The story moved at a fast pace with great characterization and a tight plot. This is a must for readers who like smoking hot sex scenes.
