Sally Brown is enjoying her life with her two sons and husband David. Her job is a rewarding one and she loves helping her friend Annie with wedding plans. Sally has no idea that someone from her past is about to reenter her life and send it crashing.
Jack Logan is healing his wounded heart. He has left his loveless marriage and is always on the go. When asked to be best man at his best friend’s wedding, he whole-heartedly agrees not knowing the surprise that waits him. He does not see it coming.
Patrick and Annie are deeply in love. When they meet again, Sally and Jack hide their true feelings for each other. They have spent nearly a decade apart only to find each other at a wedding. Sally does her best to keep things light but she loses it every time she sees Jack. Jack, on the other hand, does his best to rein in his emotions since Sally is married with children. It does not ever want to wreck a marriage even if it is the marriage of his soul mate. Will these two ever be able to express their true feelings or they remain a secret?
Sally and Jack find old feelings resurfacing and need to figure out how to deal with them. Sally hates the way she feels and tries to deny them at every turn even though her heart showing in her face says otherwise. The story told by Ms. Anderson has real drama mixed with real life. The characters in this story really need to lay things out for each other. They need to be honest and I truly enjoyed that. The road is not easy for Sally and Jack but they finally seemed to be able to talk face to face.
