Beth Walsh seems to have the perfect life. She has a husband who loves her and provides for her and she has the luxury of not having to work. But there is something missing; something that she needs and craves. While her husband works, she goes out looking for men.

Abbott Lowery knows he is good-looking, but does not let it go to his head. He detests women who chase men, especially those that chase him. When he does everything he can to make Beth leave him alone, he changes his tactics and uses them against her.

Abbott threatens to tell Beth's husband Mark what she does all day while he is hard at work. Beth pleads and begs him not to because she really loves Mark. But after months of threats, Beth finally goes into the bar where Abbott works and confronts him. He promises to show up at her house the next afternoon. But what happens when Mark comes home and finds Abbott and Beth fighting, is not what Beth ever expected to happen.

Although this is a well written story, I had a hard time reading certain parts. Mr. Reed is a brilliant writer and his characters are so well developed you actually feel they are real. The story may be difficult to read for anyone who has had to deal with a cheating spouse. The outcome is not one that was expected but it makes a very real point. If you like suspense, you will probably like this book.
