Patrick MacGregor along with the rest of his clansmen, forced into hiding by the Campbell’s who stole their land, have become outlaws. With rage building inside, Patric vows to do whatever he can to get their land back and get revenge on the Campbells even if it means he has to go as far as seducing the lovely Elizabeth Campbell.
Elizabeth Campbell has always been the good girl, doing what is expected of her, always seeing after others' needs and never thinking of herself. Her brother wants to see her married off. She has been engaged twice in fact, but both were disasters. Yet, when she meets Patrick, her mindset starts to change.
Patrick has secrets that Elizabeth has yet to learn. Elizabeth is not sure what she feels for Patrick. When the truth comes out, will it be the end of something that has barely started or can love win out over all?
Highland Outlaw is a great read. Although it is part of a series, it does stand alone. Genuine characters effortlessly tell their story with emotion. It has love and romance, betrayal and feuding, and hot men you want to swoon over. Do you need any more in a book? This reviewer says thumbs up Ms. McCarty; job well done!
