Helen Quinn is a young mother just trying to make ends meet. She is independent and proud of the small home she has made for herself and her son. She would never have dreamed that in one day her whole world would be turned upside down.

Lorenzo Rossi is a collection agent for his uncle Gino Valente. His arrival on Helen’s doorstep was going to be his last job for his uncle. He was not prepared for the impact Helen made on him that one fateful day.

Helen is terrified for her life and her son’s safety and well being. What had began as mistaken identity quickly turned into a series of near death experiences. Helen and Lorenzo convince Gino that they will find her identical twin sister Audrey and retrieve his money. Their search soon leads them out of the country and into the hands of the men they wanted to avoid. Saving her sister and getting home to her son are Helen’s main concerns, but once that is accomplished what will happen with Lorenzo? Is she just one more job until he moves on to something else?

This story sets a heart pounding pace right from the beginning. Ms. Chaney gives life to her characters and the great detail on Egyptian artifacts lends real substance to the storyline. The emotional upheaval that Helen goes through is so wonderfully written it really draws you in. Lorenzo knows that Helen needs a stable and responsible man and is willing to step out of her life if that is what she wants. You will cheer them on and hope in the end they can find their way into each other’s hearts.
