Paranormal Romance
Rating: 4 Cups

Mikayla does not remember anything from her past when she ends up at the New Orleans homeless shelter; just that her name is Kayla. She vaguely feels that she is in danger and someone she cares about is also. Every night she dreams of a man with beautiful blue eyes. This man makes love to her and makes her feel safe.

Gage is a womanizer who is beginning to find his love life busy but unfulfilling. Lately none of his women appeal to him as much as the beautiful woman who appears in his dreams.

A nightmare from the past of four women sexually abused as children has reappeared and seeks revenge on all of them, but mostly Mikayla. When the killer murders Lillian in an effort to find Kayla, her ghost seeks out Gage Vicknair to both save the others and help her cross over.

This is a very good story with many strong characters and an appealing paranormal subplot. Gage and Kayla make a great couple with amazingly strong chemistry despite her damaged psyche. Gage really does not come across as the womanizer he is billed and is as warm and caring to Kayla as he is good looking. The other Vicknairs are pretty colorful characters with fulfilling lives beyond their medium duties. The subplot of their struggle to save the family plantation is pretty interesting also. This is a very quick and involving read with a lot of suspense and a really great love story.
