Calla has a huge fear of Christmas and, with a depressing job plus an unpromising
future, she contemplates suicide. Just as she decides not to jump off a building, the
wind knocks her off balance and she begins to fall. Luckily, she is rescued by a
handsome man with a great smile, but ... are those fangs?

Daniel has been a vamp for a while and, for many years and only at Christmas, he
rescues a sad person and improves their life. When he catches Calla during her fall, he
knows he can help her, but did not realize the impact she would have on him.

Together the Christmas saddened couple work to get through the holiday, but will the
fear of being hurt again stop them from accepting more than just a holiday fling?

I really enjoyed Ghost of Christmas past. The characters were established quickly but
continued to develop wonderfully. Calla's rough life gave her an edge, but she is still a
warm and loving woman. Daniel is a kind and tender man/vampire who knows what he
wants; will sacrifice for others and is surprisingly open about his needs and fears. One
of the background characters seemed to set up for a sequel and is very interesting. The
sex was excellent and thrilling. Daniel is a great lover besides being a superb vampire.
Some scenes earned the "go back and read that again" status! Their communication is
frank, sexy, and supported the story well. When the two had their straight forward
"plot-shaping" talk it was incredibly touching. Ghost of Christmas past is a great vamp
holiday keeper.
