Held captive by a man claiming to be Rasputin, Guy Lake is positive that this man is not only the alleged man but that he is extremely powerful. But no one agrees with the ex-Marine as he delves into the truth, which is darker than believed.

Rasputin understands that there are those that will never understand just what he is and where he is from. Captured and detained in a mental facility he delves into a detail short of fanatical. Is he the real Rasputin the world has always known or something much worse?

When an ex-Marine is rescued from his supposed kidnapper calling himself Rasputin, he sets off a series of events that is not only alarming but also frightening for all those involved. As Guy unfolds the story of the man he sees as more than human, all those involved are pulled into the deep and mysterious world of Rasputin. Is he the man of mystery history has known, or is he just an insane man?

I was thoroughly impressed with the depth of this book. Though it may take readers a bit to get used to this type of reading, it was quite fascinating. Ms. Okati has taken a different approach in the realm of supernatural by adding a mysterious and intoxicating mixture of psychological intrigue and sexual tension. The characters of Rasputin and Asmeal were by far my favorite, as they not only toyed with the minds of the subjects they focused on but altered others affected in the vicinity. They personified what in my mind I believe a true character should compromise; intellect, sarcasm and enough validity to push the ideology of others. I commend Ms. Okati on this book; it was in my opinion one of her best.
