Contemporary Inspirational Romance
Rating: 5 Cups
Detective Constable Matt Paladini, a widower, knows a good officer demands direct eye contact and a strong voice. Command presence helps to keep an officer alive. Pulling Petra over for speeding may be his downfall.
Petra Lojek, a widow with a seven year-old daughter, Emma, and ten year-old son Elliot, moves to Paradiso as the new teacher at the Paradiso Village School. Meeting Matt and his daughter opens up new possibilities in her life.
Matt stays busy with his job and twelve-year-old daughter, Christa. As an officer of the law he needs to be observant, but when he fails to notice his daughter Christa has an underlying illness, he cannot believe it takes an outsider to notice the signs. Matt never knew meeting Petra could leave his stomach in knots. Petra never expected to fall in love again until she met Matt. She has been through much in her life and after meeting Christa, she believes the girl is hiding her own secret. Petra wants to help, but Matt believes her observations are wrong. She believes in God but he feels God let him down. After a low-life criminal comes after him, Matt must put his faith and trust in God to keep all his loved ones safe, especially when the madman has Petra.
I found Full House richly abundant with elements, making this one extraordinary read. The characters are well-depicted and emit a wide-range of emotions and expressions that touch upon the reader. I thought the manner in how Petra connects with Christa’s problem is a good insight with the book. The way Ms. Dynowski permits Petra to speak to Matt without preaching is well-written. This remarkable read with a dash of intrigue, romance, and faith, comes highly recommended by this reader. I found the characters impressive and the storyline superb.
