Founder is a story of one man’s struggle with alcohol and a destructiveness that threatens his job, life and love. Aubrey has to choose between his best friend “whiskey” or life and love. He goes to another state leaving place after place looking for something or someone. Knowing that all he has to do is go back home, but too afraid to face it.

Ms. Payne’s book is full of twists and turns. The reader cannot help but feel sorry and root for Aubrey at the same time. The way the author writes the scenery makes you believe you are there. The secondary characters give the story depth and some humor. The sex scenes are tension filled and explosive. Founder will have you on the edge of your seat throughout the story wondering if Aubrey and Kelly ever get where you want them to be. I hope there will be more in store for these two characters. Readers should run to get their hands on a copy, I highly recommend it.
