Jill Sinclair is a television reporter who is single until she goes to lunch with a friend and receives two red fortune cookies, one for her and one for her potential partner. She is skeptical but eats hers and leaves. Little does she know that her mate is just around the corner.

Gail is a lawyer in a prestigious law firm in New York and very open-minded. She and Jill have been friends since college. She meets Jill for lunch and receives two fortune cookies as well. Thinking that it is all just a figment of her imagination, she heads in to the library never knowing that she will run into the love of her life.

Rita is a model and has a past that she likes to keep hidden. She is a kind and caring person and a bit on the shy side. She meets with Jill, Gail and Saundra for lunch at Eddie Chang's and takes her cookies with her when she leaves. When she gets depressed by thinking of her dead fiancée, she eats her cookie and is surprised to find her new photographer was just what she needed in her life.

Saundra is a well to do rich girl, who is arrogant and sure she is right in everything, including her seven-year marriage. When Jill gives her the cookies, she shoves them in her purse thinking nothing of them. When she finds that her husband has been cheating on her, she eats her cookie and takes her chances wondering if she will finally find the same happiness that her friends have found.

Jill gathers her friends for a luncheon where she drops a bombshell on them and tells them she is getting married and she is pregnant. They are all happy for her and cannot believe the story she is telling them of how she met her soon to be husband. She insists that they each take their two fortune cookies and find the person that was meant for them.

This story is wonderfully well-written and humorous. Lots of hot, steamy sex and a foursome give thrills and delights. The trials and finally the happiness that each find, take us on a journey not easily explained but is still a thrill to read. Dee Dawning has given us a delightful, steamy story filled with happiness and humor. It is just the beginning for these women and their significant others that is sure to keep you reading page after page. I loved the interaction and the humor she has included in the story and it is one that I will continue to follow.
