Anjelia Romere has a problem. Julian makes her heart race and her blood soar, yet he is a vampire. She wishes to stay a human and not be coffin-bait, yet he is a temptation she has never felt.
Julian Bax, vampire, and owner of Bang’s Bar and Grill, lives in the cavernous basement underneath the bar. He feels drawn to Anjelia and has much to offer, if she will accept his proposal.
Anjelia finds Julian devastatingly delicious. When he comes over to her place to share a glass of wine, she is surprised how comfortable he is to be around. She wishes to learn about the many abilities of the vampires. While she enjoys a solitary existence, Julian believes she fears a relationship because of a bad marriage. Just as things lean cozier for them, Leo Freedman enters the picture, shaking things up. He believes Anjelia should become like him, a werewolf, and be his wolf queen. Anjelia feels a wedge between the two men. Julian’s kisses keep her wanting more and now Leo has his own proposal to offer. While both men vie for her attention, Anjelia considers staying human, forgetting men all together, or give in to the heated passions that two men can offer.
I think what I liked most about Forgotten Kisses was the way Julian and Anjelia slowly grew to know each other. He is cool, suave, and sophisticated in his own way. I found it interesting when Leo enters the picture making the plot even more intriguing. Rena Marks depicts some strong emotions within this story, especially as Anjelia fights to make choices. I like Ms. Marks style of writing, the dialogue, and the refreshing multi-cast of characters she brings to the pages. This smoking read will definitely keep the pages turning.
