Rachel Mariana Morgan is busy haggling demons that make a continual menace in her life. Trying to free herself from a heinous nightmare, she quickly learns the demon is actually pillaging her home for an ancient artifact that could change Inderland society.
Jenks and Ivy are her roommates and will go the extra mile for Rachel.
Glenn, a FIB detective with the Federal Inderland Bureau, goes to Rachel for help.
Ceri is an elf in hiding. Her schedule is like that of a pixy’s; she stays awake all day and night except for four hours around each midnight and noon.
Newt, a demon, enters Rachel’s home. In an effort to get what was taken from her she easily shifts her appearance. At times it is like she even has a conscience.
Minias is Newts familiar, another demon.
Rachel tries desperately to stop the demon that has entered her home, but Newt is to be reckoned with this time. She will not leave until she has what she is searching. Minias arrives to calm her and take her away. Before leaving, Newt assures she is not there to kill Rachel only to find the artifact she searches. Ceri enters hoping to help but Rachel assures there is nothing that can be done. Ceri believes that Rachel is summoning demons, but Rachel knows better. Someone must have summoned it allowing it to go improperly believing that Rachel holds the article the demons most desperately need. And now a serial killer is permitting viciously murdered bodies to land in the morgue. Glenn confronts Rachel, ensuing he will find answers before an Inderland gang war erupts. Even though Rachel is not on the FIB’s payroll, they believe she could help find answers, but this time she may have met her match when she realizes she has been betrayed in the worse way. The only thing Rachel truly believes is, with Jenks and Ivy, the three of them can do anything.
Drama unfolds in the next installment surrounding Rachel’s adventures as she tries to keep demons out of her life. As a strong heroine, Rachel sends an adrenaline rush to the reader in all the mishaps that she endures as she fights to save herself and those close-by. For a Few Demons More unfolds among many creatures of the day and night that allows the reader to practically visual the surroundings. Ms. Harrison seasons the right amount of supernatural intrigue while tossing in witches, elves, vampires, and just about any creature that can come out of the woodwork to keep the pages turning. The diverse characters and dark world kept this reader entertained, wondering if Rachel would make it through the ordeal. I could almost feel Rachel’s sensations she encountered. Hold on to your seats with this book, it just might take you into another world you may find hard to leave.
