As a woman fed up with her job at Burnham group, Anne Wyatt is ready to tender her resignation. That is until her boss throws a wrench into the plan. Now, Anne is on a mission...a mission to get herself fired!
Ken Montgomery, a graphic artist at Burnham Group, has turned his back on his family fortune in order to live his life he wants. Anne Wyatt is the woman who lives in his dreams. When he notices her blatant disregard for the rules of the company, he steps in to help her keep from losing her job.
Mitch Burnham is the head of Burnham Group, a business improvement firm. Because profits are not as high as expected, he decides to let one person from the communications team go. This one employee will receive an incredible severance package upon their dismissal at the end of the day. Who could have imagined the chaos as several employees attempt to be the one fired?
This book follows Anne throughout a twenty-four hour period. Some of the things Anne and her fellow employees pull off make a person stop and ponder in a "what if" kind of way. Mitch is the type of boss whom everyone has had at some point in their life, so reading about the antics of this man's employees make you laugh. There is little romance, but lots of fiction. It is the comedy alone that kept me reading. Ms. Malin brings a chuckle to the day of this reader.
