The Sisterhood is a mostly female vigilante group. They dispense justice where it would not otherwise be found. They have almost unlimited resources and influence and the membership is top secret.
The Inner Circle of the Babylon Casino runs the place in the absence of its owner. They cover up their crimes by philanthropic grandstanding. The Nevada Gaming Commission is willing to do anything and hire anyone at any price to take them down.
The Sisterhood is on its way to Las Vegas. A childhood friend of two of the members has asked their assistance in freeing her daughter from jail where she is being held on trumped up charges. The Nevada Gaming Commission also seeks the assistance of the organization. They send in high powered attorney Lizzie Fox and reporter Ted Robinson to check things out before the rest of the group. The Inner Circle of the Babylon hotel and casino will never know what hit them.
Give this book one more cup if you have read any or all of the other stories in this series. It stands on its own well, but there are a lot of characters with their own backstories and the reader will understand the book better with more background. That being said, this is a very suspenseful novel with interestingly different characters and a lot of action. There is almost too much going on at times, but that just leaves loose ends to be tied up in another book or two. The interplay between Lizzie and Kick definitely deserves its own tale. The Sisterhood always wins against evil and does it with panache and humor.
