Susan Keith has always dreamed of her Scottish lover but does not know why.   When
she gets to be in an historical play with soap opera star, Ryan Douglas; she is surprised
that she feels so close to him despite no encouragement from him at all. Soon she
realizes they are much closer than she ever dreamed they would be.

Ryan Douglas is doing this play in his old hometown for a benefit, nothing more. The fact
that Susan looks at him with hero worship means nothing at all. He is here to do his stint
and go back to his real life with a different glamour girl each week. But when the theater
catches fire, something extraordinary happens that will change both their lives forever.

It all begins in modern Greensboro, North Carolina, and then the author sweeps the
reader back to the 14th century in which Robert the Bruce ruled. Here you meet Lady
Gillian and Sir Alex and follow them through their brief love affair, which takes place
amidst Scotland’s war with England. However, can anything really defeat true love?

This is one of the most moving stories I have read in a long time. Ms. Lee weaves a
spellbinding tale of love lost and found again. She will make you laugh, shiver, cry, then
laugh again. Not to mention the sexy highlander she gives you, not once, but twice. This
story gives the reader a double shot of romance all in one book, with a very satisfying
ending including the tears, most of which were my own.
