Alisa like many young women feels shame and guilt after being raped. She blames herself and refuses to tell anyone of the attack. Zach knows something terrible had happened to Alisa but he is also aware that she needed time to deal with it on her own. Ms. Houston has made her characters and her story very honest and real. She perfectly describes the fear and guilt of being a victim as well the desire to love and be loved. This short story is sad, sweet, and sexy all rolled into one.
