J.M. Snyder has written an erotic tale of untouchable love and soul searching. The characters were well defined, and the fantastical world of the Merrow was intriguing. However, when Derek basically says, ‘I would do anything for love; but I won’t do that’ I did not understand WHY NOT. His motivation was questionable, in my opinion. Despite this, the story moves along well and the paranormal elements are imaginative and interesting.
