Prince Daemon is prince of all the American clans. He does not wish anything to happen to Tezra and will go to great lengths to keep her safe from any serial-killer vampire.
Tezra Campbell is highly skilled with the Special Crime Unit (SCU). She believes the last police killings are connected with the police killings ten years ago. The same time her parents were also murdered.
Tezra has the skill of a telepath and empath. She has been searching for the bloodsucking vampire that killed her parents. The night she is supposed to meet another officer, she smells the strong scent of the cologne that was stolen from her parent’s home. It is the vampire she seeks, and she will do anything to terminate him. His name is Krustalus, and he has plans for Tezra. Daemon is aware of Krustalus’ power and wants to help Tezra. When Daemons’ brother kidnaps her and carries her to Daemons’ place, the fight is on. How can she trust the man who wishes to help her after she has been abducted?
I thoroughly enjoyed the way Deadly Liaisons pulled me in immediately. The action in this book is awesome. I found the writing tight, the plot thick, and the characters strong. When the vampire flew to the rooftop, I could almost hear the sound as he darts in the air, the swishing sound practically sweeping over the pages. Terry Spear writes a gripping story that holds this reader spellbound. The display of emotions that trigger in Tezra, after ten years of losing her parents, really shines, and this reader wanted to share in her loss. I was pulled in with the fighting scenes along with Tezra and Daemon. The excitement and intensity that springs forth in the battles with the vampires is remarkably crafted.
