Deadly Impulse takes the reader through a process of healing and discovery for the two
main characters. When Clay turns up at her house in the middle of a storm, she
becomes wary. However, for some reason, the only person able to reach Simon is the a
suspected murderer. Once Jillian’s father demands a retrial, the couple is drawn into a
web of deceit, lies, and inevitably to each other. The twists and turns lead them to the
electrifying conclusion that will keep even the biggest mystery buff guessing until the end.
The way the author tells of Simon’s almost mystical connection with Clay makes you
wonder if fate does exist. The relationship between the two and the way they help heal
each other warms your heart. Ms. Bicos writes a good mystery with surprising twists and
turns and two secondary characters, Gracie and Chris who almost manage to steal the
show. I am sure lightening will strike again with more sensational books from this
author.
