DARK PROMISES: TARNISHED
Rating: 4 Cups
Becca experienced terror at the hands of a vampire and decided to become a
successful vampire hunter even though her family is full of demons, vamps, and witches. When she sees the very sexy but dangerous looking Wil, she knows he could be trouble.
Still, she cannot resist the temptation to trap him.
Wil is a vampire helping his friend locate her lost, younger, but fully grown, sister. When
he meets Becca, he struggles to remember she is off limits. He wants her very much.
Finding out she is a vampire hunter should kill off the burning desire he feels for her.
Unfortunately for Wil, that just is not happening.
Both Wil and Becca have reasons to distrust each other and little problem with the
thought of violence. Soon the attraction they feel for each other turns into excellent sex. Unfortunately, outside influences are working against them. Only if they trust each other,
can they be together.
Dark Promises: Tarnished has the rich feel of a film noir with dark characters who are
ready for any amount of danger. Both Becca and Wil's characters are well developed.
Background characters help move the story, and the bar setting establishes the tone of
the book. The dialogue is harsh but works perfectly in the story and fits the characters
excellently. All aspects of this book blended together perfectly which is why I enjoyed
this book and have Dark Promises: Tarnished as a keeper.
