Nick Morelli is a man who has a tough exterior and a soft inside, but is not easy to reach. He takes his job as a detective very seriously and will not let anything get in the way of it. Losing his wife was one of the most difficult things he had to experience, and his heart is broken because of it.

Hope Benedict is a woman who does not trust easily. She always keeps an eye on her brother Cullinan, who likes to think of himself as a professional thief. She knows attraction when she sees it, but tries to avoid it. She is a strong woman and will love with her whole heart when it is right.

The robbery of the white stone pendant necklace belonging to Tess O’Brien looks to be the work of the thief known only as the "Dove", because he leaves a white feather behind as a calling card. Nick is assigned to the case, but it leads him to think that Cullinan Benedict is involved. Though that starts to be a hindrance to the attraction Nick and Hope seem to have for each other when their eyes meet. The past comes back to haunt Cullinan since he is just trying to right the wrongs history made.

Celtic history is a passion for me, so this book appealed to me from the start. Cullinan is doing his best to complete the task his father started. The passion between all the characters was exhilarating to me. Everything that happened in the book seemed so real, and I enjoyed every page. The story kept me reading and it was very difficult to stop. It was a very well written story and I look forward to reading more by this author.
