Roxanne Simon is a woman who appears to have it all.  An Oscar award winning
actress, a successful author, and mother of a beautiful, little boy. However, there are
skeletons in Roxanne’s closet, those she wants to keep hidden at any cost, even from
the love of her life.

Frank Garrett struck it big with as the lead singer of the hit-making band, Garrett-
Hollander.  He loved Roxanne so much it changed his life, and not for the better. Now,
he has a chance to make her pay for everything she did to him. But can he go through
with it?

Crying in the Rain sweeps the reader back to the 80's, giving them a ringside seat for a
heartbreaking love story that makes good use of the term star-crossed lovers.  Frank
and Roxanne are attracted to one another from the first, but life keeps giving them a
hard time.  When Roxie tries to help Frank out, the only way she can, he feels betrayed
and the downward spiral begins.  The story pulls the reader along with Frank’s quest for
revenge against the woman who did him wrong.

The characters in this story are compelling, and their emotions streamed off the pages,
vivid and heartrending.  In keeping with the glittering times of the 80's, the book shows
the perils of too much sex, drugs, and rock-n-roll.  I was somewhat put off by the
switching back and forth of the time frame. However, by the end, I had to root for these
people to get what they so desperately deserved.
