Johnny Marshall is a werewolf. Framed for a murder he did not commit, he changes
his name to Sam Morgan and becomes a master thief, preying on those who pillage
and rape the environment. His next target is the owner of a huge corporation, but his
planned theft is complicated by the owner's daughter. Sam is drawn to her in a way he
has never experienced before. As they begin to get to know each other, he realizes he
should tell her some important things about himself, but holds back because he does
not know how she will react.
Olivia Woodlock is desperate. An important heirloom has been stolen from her family
and they must have it back. Without the elixir stolen by an evil, rich man with a hidden
agenda, Olivia's father, brother, and uncle will sicken and die. She is willing to go to
extreme lengths to get it back, including hooking up with a criminal. Sam Morgan may
be a thief, but to Olivia, he is her last hope to get back what her family needs without her
having to sacrifice herself to a very evil man. As she gets to know Sam, she realizes he
is much more than he seems, but cannot put her finger on exactly what is different about
him. She is afraid to tell him the whole truth about her family and the elixir named
Astravor because she is worried about how he will react.
Olivia and Sam are complex characters with some very unique characteristics.
Their relationship progresses at a realistic pace and they compliment each
other very well. Hidden secrets they keep from each other make it harder for them to
really understand each other. This lack of essential communication adds more
suspense and tension to the story. The sexual tension between the two characters
sizzles in a way that makes it almost palpable. The love scenes are so smoking hot,
they left me absolutely breathless. The plot line is intriguing with many unique twists and
turns, keeping my eyes riveted to the pages.
This is the first book I have read by Ms. York, but it will not be the last.
She is a talented author with an extremely creative imagination. I will be avidly
searching for more of her work in the future. I highly recommend this book to anyone
who enjoys stories of werewolves and the supernatural. Crimson Moon is most
definitely a keeper!
