Benjamin Lyndon Fortune has a style on a surfboard that gets him noticed, especially by the opposite sex. Since his wife’s death, he only cares for one woman, his sixteen-year-old daughter, Carly. With his wild days behind him, it is time to settle down but not until he finds out who murdered his wife.

FBI Special Agent Sonora ‘Sonny’ Vasquez is on a special case to keep a vigil eye on Ben. Her boss believes she can unlock the truth as to who really killed Olivia Fortune, since Ben has been lying low since her death. She never imagined coming to Carly’s rescue or finding love with a man who could be a killer.

In no time, Ben finds himself mixed up with a woman who challenges him almost as much as Olivia had, but the interrogations Sonny puts him through cause painful memories. Sonny’s boss places her undercover to keep an eye on Ben. She is an attractive female who can garner attention and quite possibly find information to lock Ben away. There are just one or two problems, she is alone without any surveillance or back-up, and second, she never anticipated falling for the handsome surfer that takes her breath away. When Ben learns she is there to spy on him, will he forgive her or work with her to find the person responsible for the death of Olivia?

What a whirlwind read. There were times I was thrown into the lives of Carly, Ben and Sonny, allowing them to become real fixtures in the storyline. I love how the friendship of Sonny slowly builds with Ben and Carly. I could share in the pain emitted by Ben as he tries to overcome the death of Olivia while raising Carly. I like how Sonny is dedicated to her job, but the vulnerable side of her wants to just fall into Ben’s arms. Get comfy; because once you start reading Crash Into Me, you will not want to move for anything. It is like devouring decadent chocolate; you savor every bite, and cannot put it down until it is finished. Jill Sorenson does not miss a beat in this magnificent read with great pacing, intense emotions, and unexpected twists and turns that kept this reader guessing.
